Question: How do sign up for the club and join a team?
Answer: use the USSSA age calculator: https://www.usssa.com/BASEBALL/AGECALCULATOR to determine your player’s competition age for the current season. Send an email to Club321baseball@gmail.com with your players information (competition age, birthdate, playing history/experience, etc.) and it will be forwarded to the appropriate team manager’s email address. That team manager will contact you about coming out for a trial practice with the team. After practice the coach will try to answer any question you have and direct you this website to complete the registration documentation.
Question: What level of competition do your teams play at?
Answer: Our teams compete in all levels of competition. This is solely at the discretion of the team manger as they know their team’s capabilities best. Manager’s make the team schedule for the fall and spring seasons in advance and usually solicit input from stakeholders. Our team's play local tournaments throughout Florida hosted by various organizations as well as destination tournaments for which they fundraise and find sponsorships separately.
Question: Is my player guaranteed playing time?
Answer: The short answer is no. Club321’s mission is to develop our young athletes into competitive ball-players who are strong, confident, and capable as these characteristics will carry over into how they ultimately live their lives as productive members of society. This does not mean that they will be guaranteed a roster spot for any particular tournament. Our players are constantly being evaluated and the managers will call on the most capable and available for any given competition. We have many success stories of players who joined the club on team that they were not immediately put into the competitive tournament roster but worked hard and improved their skills through constant positive attitude and effort…eventually resulting in winning a roster spot and in some cases a starting role in the lineup. This is a very fun and rewarding process to observe and be a part of when it takes place.
Question: How many players are on the roster?
Answer: In general a roster of 11 players is the most manageable for most tournaments. However this is a guideline and it is completely up to the team manager to determine how many players they need rostered for any particular tournament.
Question: How much does competitive tournament “travel” baseball cost?
Answer: Costs vary per team based on how many tournaments a team plays in and cost per tournament. Our club fee is $150 per player, which gets you 3 practices a week which focuses on Player Development. Practices are ran by 6 or more coaches who either have College Baseball Experience or better.
